Head Lice

Dear Parents,

During this time of the year, head lice is a common occurrence. It is most prevalent in children ages 6 to 12 and  often times appears after a school break. Frequently, there are many myths and misunderstanding concerning how head lice is contracted and how it is eradicated. Rarely do children spread lice in school. It is often transmitted on personal items such as hairbrushes, combs, towels, sheets and helmets. Please advise your children to refrain from borrowing or lending any item that is used on the head or in the hair.
